My Favorite Sustainable Products

Part of our stewardship dream is to be more natural and create less waste.

While we don’t want “being green” to become an idol, nor a point of judgment on ourselves or others, we do believe that if we have the ability to make a choice, we should try our best to make one that stewards God’s creation as well as possible. He’s given us so many natural tools to sustain us, we might as well use some of them 🌱

Like many of you, I started using a vinegar, water + essential oil spray to clean the kitchen a few years ago (learned this from my friend, Jess), and have been using cloth napkins for as long as I can remember. Recently I bought these cute dish cloths from @homegoods and they’re great for wiping down tables, counters, messes or spills. They go right into the washing machine and clean up just fine!

PS I still use Lysol and disposable paper towels to clean the bathroom, so I’m by no means saying we are 100% natural or waste free. We pick our battles.

Below is a running list of some of my favorite Sustainable, Eco-friendly or Zero Waste Products:

PS, full disclosure, I do get a kickback if you order from any of the links below. Thanks in advance if you do!

Reusable Beeswax Food Wraps

These ones are Made in the USA. I prefer them in the plain brown color, but you can search for lots of other options of patterns and colors!

Full Circle Bubble Up Dish Brush + Dispenser

This Full Circle Dish Brush is great for getting the tough gunk off dishes, pots and pans. I use it in conjunction with my Compostable Sponge Cloths (see below), and my Pampered Chef pan scraper (that brown thing that is likely a miraculous gift from God). I don’t use it with the Soap Dispenser, but I’m sure some people love that feature!

Glass Spray Bottles

I purchased these ones by Sally Organics, and fill them with 1/2 vinegar, 1/2 water + about 20 drops of Essential Oil of choice, and use it as my multi-purpose spray for cleaning kitchen counters and the like.

Compostable Sponge Cloths

I have these Compostable Sponge Cloths on Subscribe & Save, and they work great for dishes. They come in 5-packs but are rather large so I cut them in half before using. Makes a package last twice as long! PS, even their packaging is biodegradable!
