Five Minute Friday – Opportunity

People all over the world blogging on the same topic on the same day for just five minutes and linking up at Lisa Jo’s place. Today’s topic: Opportunity.

Five Minute Friday

GO.

Every time we fall, we have the opportunity to get back up.

Every trial we face, we have the opportunity to persevere.

Every storm we walk through, we have the opportunity to endure.

Opportunities surround us. We can just sit and let life pass us by, get mucked down in hurt or regret, get frozen by fear. Or we can step up and do whatever it takes. Whatever it takes to survive, grow, become better. There seem to be endless lessons that could be learned. I don’t want them to slip by unnoticed or unused. I want to seize as many opportunities and I have energy for. Opportunities for fun, too. Last weekend, we were sort of stuck. Tired of being inside, tired of not having great plans or being able to take a trip. So we sat. Until I realized we were stuck and said, let’s go sledding. HA! Not what I was feeling like, but obviously necessary. So we bundled up and walked across the street and found the perfect sledding hill. PERFECT. We had a ball, then came in all cold and snuggled up together.

I don’t want to miss opportunities. For learning, for fun, for love. No more sitting around stuck.

STOP.
